Joel Davis

Joel Davis has been recognized as one of The Best Lawyers In America for 25 years. After graduating from the University of Colorado’s law school in 1962, he worked for one year as an Assistant City Attorney for the City of Boulder. He then went to work for Title Guaranty Company, which merged with Transamerica Title Insurance Company. He managed the Boulder office of Transamerica Title for five years, during some of the most vigorous growth experienced by the City of Boulder. In the fall of 1965, Joel was elected to a four-year term on the Boulder City Council. In 1968, Joel joined the Denver law firm of Davis, Graham and Stubbs, and became a partner in that firm shortly thereafter. His work with that firm generally related to real estate development. In 1972, he returned to Boulder to continue his practice, joining with Peter Dietze to form the firm of Dietze and Davis. Joel's personal practice has been primarily in the areas of real estate law and estate planning.
